Adult Education

Whether you prefer a traditional Bible study or a conversation on a current best seller, our discussions are riveted and intertwined with Christian teaching that will make your faith fresh and relevant for your daily life.

From the Desk of Linda Keith (Director of Adult Christian Formation at SMM)...

Adult Formation is a time to join together and discuss issues and questions surrounding faith. At St. Mary Magdalene, our Adult Formation opportunities are designed so that we can all bring our ideas to the table. Conversation is stimulated through film clips, current events, scripture and other books so that through our shared discussion we might come away with a real, rooted and relevant approach to this gift called "life". All adults are welcome. All questions are welcome. Just come...

Questions? Email Linda.

The Season after the Epiphany is the time in the liturgical year when we look at all that has happened during Advent, Christmas and Epiphany and incorporate this knowledge into how we live. Beginning January 11, 2012 our Venite and Sophia adult formation opportunities will enter conversation based on Greg Garrett's book, The Other Jesus: Rejecting a Religion of Fear for the God of Love. Unlike many of our other sessions, you will need to purchase the book for this series. (Or borrow it from the library.) Please read pages vii-21 for our first session. I promise this amazing book will inspire you and lead to some riveting discussions. I purchased my book from Amazon.com. Also check with your favorite bookseller.
