Our New Home for Continued Ministry
From the first day of our life together, St. Mary Magdalene has always known that the Church is the people brought together for shared life. The Church is not a place, or a building. It the community gathered in worship and fellowship, and then the community scattered in service and mission.
Throughout the history of the Church the people of God have gathered in a variety of settings to worship and break bread. And for seven years of faithful ministry St. Mary Magdalene has gathered in a variety of places to worship, fellowship and reach out to others in the love of God. We've gathered in basements, homes, civic buildings, funeral homes and currently we are gathering in a storefront chapel.
Three years ago, recognizing our need for our own ministry home - one built specifically for our ministries needs - we set out to design, raise the funds for and build our first structure to carry out our continued faithful ministry of worship, fellowship and service.
On Saturday, July 31st @ 10:30 am The Right Reverend Barry R. Howe and St. Mary Magdalene will dedicate and begin using its first structure built specifically for its ministry purposes.
We invite you to come and enjoy worship, fellowship and share in serving others as we grow in new ministries through this expanded ministry tool! Come on out and join us!
