Our Home for Continued Ministry
From the first day of our life together, St. Mary Magdalene has always known that the Church is the people brought together for shared life. The Church is not a place, nor a building. It is the community gathered in worship and fellowship, and then the community scattered in service and mission.
Throughout the history of the Church the people of God have gathered in a variety of settings to worship and break bread. In the early years of faithful ministry St. Mary Magdalene gathered in a variety of places to worship, for fellowship and to reach out to others in the love of God. We've gathered in basements, homes, civic buildings, funeral homes and storefront chapels.
Several years ago, recognizing our need for our own ministry home--one built specifically for our ministries' needs--we began the process of designing, raising the funds for and building our first structure to carry out our continued faithful ministry of worship, fellowship and service.
On Saturday, July 31, 2010 The Right Reverend Barry R. Howe and St. Mary Magdalene dedicated and began using its first structure built specifically for its ministry purposes. Click here to see pictures from this great day of celebration.
We invite you to come and enjoy worship, fellowship and share in serving others as we grow in new ministries through this expanded ministry tool! Come and join us!
