Ali Wormington serves as the Children Committee Chair. She oversees the Children's Ministry Committee that guides and directs the life of the children's education and formation opportunities offered at St. Mary Magdalene.

Wendy Wilson serves as the Youth Ministry Leader. She oversees the Youth Sponor's Committee that plans and carries out the fellowship and formation opportunities offered at St. Mary Magdalene.

Linda Keith, M.A. Christian Education, serves as the Adult Formation Committee Chair. She oversees the Adult Formation Committee that guides and directs the life of the education and formation opportunities offered for Adults at St. Mary Magdalene.

Cori Pursell, M.A. Christian Spirituality, serves as the Director of The House of Grace. She is the organizational/formation director of the spirituality center, and leads a support and advisory committee, The Circle of Support.

Anet Stevens serves as the Fellowship Ministry Leader. She leads the Welcome Team and Fellowship Event Team that oversee the hospitality of our Sunday morning fellowship and our all church fellowship events respectively.

Tom and Judy Crosbie serve as the Acolyte Directors. They oversee the training, organization and service of the acolytes that serve at the Holy Table during our Sunday Morning worship.

Julie Sponagel serves as the Director of Hunger Relief Missions. See leads the Hunger Relief Committee that oversees the St. Mary's Food Pantry, St. Mary's Kitchen Mission Teams, the Backsnack Missions and the Episcopal Community Service Annual Disc Golf Tournament hosted by St. Mary Magdalene.

Jim Grant serves as the Beyond KC Mission Director. He oversees the mission trips to Camp Coast Care, a joint mission camp between the Lutherans and Episcopalians dedicated to the Gulf Coast recovery, and he oversees our relationship to MN, a birthing home in Haiti supported by St. Mary Magdalene.

Sr. Karen Woods serves as the Lead Gardener. See oversees the Garden Committee that organizes, plants, keeps, harvests and delivers fresh produce to the Kansas City Community Kitchen hosted at Grace and Holy Trinity Episcopal Cathedral at 12th and Broadway downtown KC.

Rick Fite serves as the Head of the Buildings and Grounds Committee. This committee is a group of volunteers who offer their time and talents for the upkeep of our church buildings and grounds.

Jennifer Coleman serves as the Director of the Music Team. She works together with our Priest in the planning and organizing of all the music and liturgical settings for Sunday morning worship, as well as other feast day worship. She also coordinates the music team for various song and fellowship nights that have become a highlight of our community's life.

David Alig serves as the Lead Usher and oversees the organization, training and scheduling for the Usher Ministry. The ushers are the welcoming and helpful community members who greet you every Sunday morning.

Ministry Leadership Committees

The Bishop's Committee is a small group of leaders from within St. Mary Magdalene that provides prayer, discernment, oversight, and guidance to the on-going ministry of our church. They oversee the fiscal and physical life of the community, as well as provide spiritual and leadership support to our many ministries.
